Cooks and consumers,
IT’S TIME FOR ETHNIC MEALTIME!!!!!!!!!
This Friday evening from 6-8pm Firebellies will host a cookery workshop with igneous petrologist and professor of Geology, BEREKET HAILEAB, who hails from the Horn of Africa.
This event takes place in the Waston basement, tomorrow.
Bereket will direct us as we cook an ERITREAN meal together (you didn’t know that country existed, did you?). Eritrean cuisine is a fusion of Eritrea’s native culinary traditions, and the area’s long history of trade and social interchanges with other regions and cultures. It is highly diverse, and trades from local and far away places.
If you have never had an injera before, this is your chance to try it. 25 Injeras are being brought from the cities especially for this event. This is also your chance to taste shiro and berbere.
If you want to participate email VANFLEEJ@CARLETON.EDU BY TOMORROW, noon. This event is limited to 20 participants.
This is a vegetarian-friendly event.
See you tomorrow
Chew your food well,
Vayu and Jackson
